Lets say you screwed up fstab or firewall locked out or something of that nature and the o/pi will not boot. Just use a sdcard reader that you can attach to another o/pi or linux based pc and do this:

if you are using a sdcard reader chances are the dev will be somthing like /dev/sda1 if using a sdcard slot on the device itslf it may be /dev/mmcblk2p4 or such.
fdisk -l will show you

run this for which ever type:
mount /dev/mmcblk2p4 /mnt/
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/
chroot /mnt /bin/bash --login
fix whatever it is, then exit and pop it back into your device.
