postcard from macedonia final
Sam

Well, we're back home in Wollongong NSW Australia now, and i have to say it's great to be back.

The trip to Macedonia went great, apart from my childhood allergy to nuts resurfacing due to me eating fresh (off the tree) walnuts and getting heartburn and stomach cramps.

The kids and the whole family had a top time. the food was great, we mainly ate at home though we did stop at that stupid MacDonalds that did not sell decent kids happy meals because they did not sell nuggets nor fries, and the toys were AUD$2, sigh.

It is a third world, or developing nation, and the gaining of independence will eventually bring some stability to the place, hopefully. A lot of people still work for $200 a month, and a relative of mine that earns $2000 a month as an engineer though hasn't been paid for 6 months. Geez.

Still, it brings to question the pic below -- it is the only one i managed to get whilst actually carrying my mobile phone with me -- there was an even better one with what looked like a porche, ferrari, lamborginhi, or something with all three parked right behind each other in a strictly no parking / stopping spot.

Oh yeah, note the number plates on this Lambo. Definitely a local. :)
